Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage in Boca Raton

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover hearing aids, but a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan often does. We help you understand what your specific plan pays, what you owe, and how to make the most of your annual hearing aid allowance.

What's covered

Your benefit, in plain English.

Most Medicare Advantage plans in South Florida include a hearing aid benefit ranging from $500 to $3,000 per ear, per year. Original Medicare covers the diagnostic hearing evaluation when ordered by a physician, but not the devices themselves.

  • Diagnostic hearing evaluation covered under Part B with physician order
  • Medicare Advantage hearing aid allowances applied at fitting
  • In-network Medicare Advantage plans through UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Aetna
  • Verification of benefits before your appointment — no surprises at checkout

Doctoral-level audiogram in our sound-treated booth. This portion is typically covered by Medicare Part B.

  3. 03

FAQs

Medicare — the questions we hear most.

Does Original Medicare cover hearing aids?
No. Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not pay for hearing aids or the fitting exam. It does cover the diagnostic hearing test when your primary care doctor orders it for a medical reason.
How much does Medicare Advantage pay toward hearing aids?
It varies. Most plans in Palm Beach County offer a $500 to $3,000 per-ear allowance every one to two years. Some plans require you to use a specific vendor network — we verify this before your fitting.
What if I want a premium hearing aid above my allowance?
You pay only the difference. We are transparent about pricing and never bundle add-ons you did not agree to.
